The key to solving this problem is to change the colors of the squares in the order that the problem tells us. Here is a close-up of the squares.  Problem tells us that first, Anya replaced all the black squares with white. So on our strip, we will take all the black squares and change them into white. Next, Bob made  all the grey squares black. We have three grey squares at this point. We will make them black. The last step was Chris replacing the white squares with grey ones.  This is what the strip looks like at the end. It looks like letter answer D, so the correct answer is D.
