Problem number 7. These children are standing in a line, some facing forward and others facing backward. How many children are holding another child's hand with their right hand? A2, B3, C4, D5, or E6? First you're going to figure out which hand is the right hand. A very easy way to do this, you can get up out of your chair and figure out which hand is your right hand and face like these kids are facing. The children who are facing backward have their right hand on this side and they have their left hand on this side. And the way it goes for the kids who are facing forward is they have their left hand on this side and have their right hand on this side. Now we are going to see how many kids are holding another kid's hand with their right hand. This girl is not holding anybody with her right hand because this is her right hand. This boy is because he is holding two kids with two hands so he must. This last girl is holding somebody with her right hand which is that hand. So she is also holding someone with her right hand. So we have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 people holding someone else with their right hand. So our answer is E6.
