Problem number five. There have to be two coins in each row and each column. Where do you need to put the last coin? A, B, C, D, or E? We are going to look at each of the columns and each of the rows and figure out which one only has one coin. If we look at the first row, we see that it has two coins, which means it does not need another coin. The second row also has two coins, so that means it does not need another coin. The third row has only one coin and does need one. And then the fourth row does not need another coin. Then, if we look at the first column, we see it has two coins, so it does not need one. And then same for the second. And if we look at the third one, we see that it only has one coin, so it needs a coin. And then the fourth one does not. And given what we see, we need to put the last coin in D. So our answer is D.
