Problem number 22. Three zebras take part in a contest. The winner is the zebra with the most stripes. Runa has 15 stripes and Zara has three more stripes than Runa. Runa has five fewer stripes than Baiba. How many stripes does the winner have? 16, 18, 20, 21, or 22. If Runa has 15 stripes and Zara has three more stripes than Runa, 15 plus three is 18, which means Zara has 18 and Runa has 15. And then if Runa has five fewer stripes than Baiba, so that means we would do 15 plus five to figure out how many stripes Baiba has. So 15 plus five is 20. That means Baiba has 20 stripes, which means Baiba has 20 stripes and that means Baiba is the winner with 20 stripes, which means our answer is C.
Video Summary
In a stripe-counting contest among three zebras, Runa has 15 stripes, Zara has 18 stripes (three more than Runa), and Baiba has 20 stripes (five more than Runa). Thus, Baiba, with the most stripes, is the winner, having 20 stripes. The answer is 20, option C.
