To solve this problem, we could go through and add up the numbers in each bowl and figure out which sum is the largest from there. However, we could also notice that a lot of these bowls have very similar numbers. You have 8, 4, 7, 9, 6, 4, 7, 9, 7, 4, 7, 9, 9, 4, 7, 4, 7, 4, 9, and 5. So each bowl has a 9. Each bowl has a 7. That's why it's 2, 7, so we'll just mark 1. And each bowl has a 4. So three of the numbers in each bowl are exactly the same, which means that the last bowl will make the difference in the sum. So we are left with a bowl of 8 in A, 6 in B, 7 in C, 4 in D, and 5 in E. 8 is the largest of these numbers, so the sum that includes the 8 instead of one of these other numbers is going to be the largest.
