Problem number five. My boat has more than one circle. It also has two more triangles than squares. Which boat is mine? We have two clues. First of all, the boat has more than one circle. We see that boat C only has one circle. So regardless of how many triangles and squares it has, this is not my boat. The second clue is that it has two more triangles than squares. So the number of squares plus two will give the number of triangles. So let's look at this a little bit more closely. The problem says there are two more triangles than squares. So the number of triangles has to be bigger than the number of squares. And it's bigger by exactly two. So if there is one square, there should be one plus two, or three triangles. If there are two squares, there should be two plus two, which equals four triangles. If there are three squares, there should be three plus two, or five triangles. If the sail had 10 squares, there should be 10 plus two, or 12 triangles. Let's look at each of the remaining four boats and see which one this is true for. In A, we have one square and two triangles. One plus two is three. So this is not the right boat. In B, we have two squares and three triangles. Two plus two is four. So this is not the right boat either. Skipping on to D, we have three squares and one triangle. Three plus two is five, so there should have been five triangles, not one. In fact, if there are more squares here than triangles, it's definitely not my boat. And in E, we have two squares and four triangles. Two plus two is four, and there are four triangles, so E is the right answer.
Video Summary
The problem involves identifying the correct boat, which has more than one circle and two more triangles than squares. Boat C is eliminated due to having only one circle. Analyzing the remaining boats, boat E is the correct choice. It has two squares and four triangles, meeting the condition of having exactly two more triangles than squares (2 + 2 = 4). The other boats don't satisfy these conditions. Thus, boat E is the correct answer.
