Problem number six. This is my grandfather's birthday cake. A large candle stands for 10 years and a small candle for one year. How old is my grandfather?  Let's look at this cake.  We see that the black candles are bigger than the white candles. So each black candle stands for 10 years  and then each white candle stands for one year.  Now let's count. We have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven large candles. Each of the seven candles stands for 10 years. So that will be 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 years.  Now let's count the small candles. One, two, three, four, five, six.  Each white candle stands for just one year like on a normal birthday cake. So those six candles mean six years.  70 plus six is 76.  So the grandfather is 76 years old and this is answer C.
