Problem number 14. There are 12 students in a line. Counting from the left, Warren is fifth in the line. Counting from the right, Victor is fourth in the line. How  many students are there between Warren and Victor? To solve this problem, all we need to do is count from the ends of the line. For example, for Warren, we'll count  from the left. One, two, three, four, five, and that person is Warren. Similarly, we'll do the same for Victor. And one, two, three, four. So that person is Victor. Now the  question is, how many students are between Warren and Victor? Well, these are the people between Warren and Victor, and we can see that there are three people.  So that means that the answer is C, three.
