Problem number nine. You have L-shaped tiles consisting of four squares as shown. How many of the following shapes can you make by gluing together two of these tiles? Zero, one, two, three, or four. We're going to look at each of the shapes and fill in each piece for each shape with a different color to see how many we can make. The first one we see we can have one like this, and then one like this. So this one would work. Moving on to the second one, we have this one, and that one, which means the second one we are also able to make. The third one we can make one like this, and the second one like this. So that one is also possible. And if we look at the fourth one, we see we can make one like this, and another one like this. So as we see, we can make all four, which means our answer is E, four.
