Problem number five. Which one of the figures below can you make using only these shapes? Here's a close-up of the shapes, and let's see what we have. There is a long rectangle. There are two circles that are the same size. There also are three triangles. One of them is an equilateral triangle, and there are two right triangles, but they are different sizes. Let's make a close-up of each figure and see how the shapes compare to the shapes that are given. In A, we do have two circles, a long rectangle, and an equilateral triangle that looks about the right size. But on top are right triangles, which are the same size, which we do not have in the shapes given. So figure A cannot be made from the figures given. Now let's look at B. Right on top, there is a square. We do not have a square among the figures that were given. So B is not a figure that we can make. Now let's look at C. We have two circles, a long rectangle, two triangles instead of three, and a small circle. So this does not match up with the shapes that are given because there is not a small circle among them. So C is not a figure that we can make. Let's take a look at figure D. We have two circles, a long rectangle, a right triangle here, and two equilateral triangles. So the triangles don't quite match up with what we were given because we had one equilateral triangle and two right triangles of different sizes. So figure D is not one that we can make. We are left with figure E to check. It has a long rectangle, two circles, an equilateral triangle, a right triangle here, and a smaller right triangle here. So figure E is the one that we can make using the shapes given. The answer is E.
Video Summary
The task is to determine which figure can be constructed using the given shapes: one long rectangle, two equal-sized circles, one equilateral triangle, and two right triangles of different sizes. Figures A through D were evaluated and each was disqualified for including shapes not provided (e.g., matching right triangles, a square, or an extra triangle or small circle). Figure E was the only figure that correctly utilized the given shapes, aligning with the requirement of one long rectangle, two circles, one equilateral triangle, and two different-sized right triangles. Thus, Figure E is the correct answer.
