Problem number 15. Emily wants to build a crown using 10 copies of this token. When two tokens share a side, the corresponding numbers match. Four tokens have already been placed. Which number goes in the triangle marked with an X? A, 1. B, 2. C, 3. D, 4. E, 5. The picture shows four of the tokens placed. They are right here. First one, second, third, and fourth. Also notice that the numbers start from 1 and go to 5 in counterclockwise order. You can see it on these tokens as well. We can continue filling in the pattern on either side of the tokens that are shown. I'm going to do it on the right. Opposite the 5 here will be the number 5. I'm going to write it in a way that's easier for me to read, but the numbers go counterclockwise. So they will go this direction. This is 1, 2, 3, and 4. The next token starts here with a 3. Counterclockwise it will go 4, 5. Start with 1 and 2. The next token, we have the 1 here. Counterclockwise we get 2, 3, 4, and 5. And now we see that the X on this token touches the 4 on this token. So we'll have to have the number 4. So the answer is the 4.
