Problem number 14. Joanna folds the number square twice as shown. Then she punches a hole through the black spot shown by the arrow. Which numbers does she punch through? We will need to figure out which four numbers end up right here when the paper is folded. Right before the paper was folded into this small square, it was this rectangle. Once it's folded, you can think of it as each one of these squares having a hole exactly where the final hole is. So it would be this spot and this spot. Now before it was folded over, it was the big square over here. The first fold line is here and it corresponds to this line. So numbers 23 and 20 are the ones on the bottom part that have holes through them. The fold line functions kind of like a mirror in that the spots that are closer to it correspond to the spots that are closer on the other side. So the other two dots will be right here, so they also end up close to the fold line. So the numbers we have are 14, 17, 20, and 23. And this is answer B.
