The shapes are the  black circle, which is going to be on the bottom. Then we have a darker gray semicircle and a lighter gray quarter circle. The problem says that the shapes cannot  be cut. So let's look at our answer choices and figure out which ones Danny can or can't make. In A, we see the lighter gray quarter circle here and we  can easily figure out that the darker gray, this semicircle, is right there. So he can make this one. Since the problem asks which one he cannot make, this will  not be the answer. In B, we can see the darker gray shape clearly and the lighter gray shape, the quarter circle, could easily be under it. So Danny could make  this shape. In C, we have the lighter gray quarter circle here and we can see the whole semicircle here. So Danny can make this, so it's not the answer. In D,  we see the lighter gray shape here and the semicircle could be tucked under it like this, so he can make this shape. In E, we have the lighter gray shape visible,  but the dark gray pieces are separated. And this is a semicircle would either have to be like this to show this part or like this.
