Question 5. Justin wrote three consecutive four-digit numbers in a row. His sister erased some digits. What are the missing digits from left to right?  For example, 213, 214, and 215 are three consecutive three-digit numbers. Let's take a look at our numbers, and first, let's fill in the ones place.  We notice that the last digit of all of these numbers goes 7, 8, and then the next digit would be 9, so we can fill that in. Next, let's look at the tens digit.  In the center number, we have 98, so the number before 98 is 97, and the number after that is 99, so we can fill in as such. Next, we see that we have 898, 899, and the  number before those two will be 897. Finally, we need to put in the first digit, the thousandth digit, and we see that that will be 4, so our numbers are 4,897, 4,898,  and 4,899, so the numbers that have been erased will give us answer D, 489, 499.
