What does Ben get?  To start off with, let's take note that everyone gets a different kind of fruit. So let's imagine that in this bowl there are only five fruits.  One apple, a set of cherries, a branch of grapes, a strawberry, and a banana. Since we know that everyone gets a fruit that they like,  let's start off with Anne because she only likes grapes. So that is the only option that she takes from the bowl. With the grapes gone, next let's take a look at Dan.  Dan likes grapes and bananas. Since the grapes are gone, he will take the banana.
