Number two, in how many places in the picture are two children holding each other with their left hands? All right, so in order to do this problem, what we can do is we can label all the hands from left to right. So this first girl is facing into the page. So the hand on her left is her left hand and the hand on her right is her right hand. Here's the same for the next girl. The third person, however, is facing out of the page and the hand that we see on the left is actually the right hand. And we can do this so on and so forth for everybody else to create the list we have over here. Next we need to see where children are holding each other's left hands. So since these commas are representing the separation of two people, we can find the only place where there's a left hand holding another left hand. Notice here that's a right hand holding a left hand, a right hand holding a right hand, left to right, left to right. This is the only place where this is left to left. As a result, there's only one place in the picture where two children are holding each other with their left hands, so the answer is A, 1.
Video Summary
The video discusses how to determine the number of places in a picture where two children hold each other with their left hands. It involves labeling each child's hands according to their orientation—facing into or out of the page affects which hand is the left. By analyzing these orientations, the video identifies one instance where two children are holding each other's left hands. Hence, the correct answer is that there is only one such place in the picture.
