7. The five figures on the grid can move only in the directions indicated by the black arrows. Which figure can leave through gate G? Gate G has a width of 3 units. So a figure can only leave if every single part of that figure has a width of max 3 from the first square to the last square. So let's take a look at A. A, the first row of A has a width of 1. That's good. The second row of A has a width of 3. The third row has a width of 4. So from this to that, it's 4 units. And there's no way that's going to be able to get through the gate. So we can eliminate A. B, on the other hand, has a width of 3 in the first row, 1, 2, 3 in the second row, and then 3 in the third row. So B would be able to get out of gate G. And there we go. We've solved our problem. The answer is B. We can real quick, we can check the other answers as well to make sure that they also don't hold up. C, we can see that the first row has a distance, has width 4, so it can't get through. D, we can see that the third row has width 4, so it can't get through. And E, we can see that the third row has a width of 5, so there's also no way this can get through.
Video Summary
In the given puzzle, five figures on a grid can move only as the arrows indicate. Figures can exit through Gate G, which is 3 units wide, if no row of the figure exceeds this width. Figure A's third row is 4 units wide, so it cannot exit. Figure B has rows with widths all equal to or less than 3 units, allowing it to exit through gate G successfully. Figures C, D, and E have rows exceeding 3 units in width (4, 4, and 5 units respectively), so they cannot exit the gate. Therefore, the correct answer is B.
