Arjun has two types of small paper pieces as shown. How many of these small pieces of paper in total does he need to make the ship shown? Okay so looking at our ship we see there are these two angled parts at the bottom so those definitely can't be made with our square so we can fill those with the bottom piece shown with the angles on it and also on the right side here and then we can see that there's again another angled piece in the middle so that must also be made with one of the angled pieces and now we see that the rest of the ship can be made with our square pieces since there's no angled parts and so in total we have five squares and three trapezoids and so that is eight pieces in total.
