We can take a look at vases B, C, and E, and notice that they have an axis of symmetry from top to bottom, meaning that their halfway point will be exactly halfway in its height.  Next, if we look at vase D, you notice that the halfway point of its height does not work as an axis of symmetry,  because this vase is thicker on the bottom than it is on top, meaning that the water level will actually be lower than the halfway point of height.  Finally, vase A, its halfway point breaks it into the thinner bottom part and the wider top part,  which means that the water level will be above the halfway height point. This means that our answer will be A.
