Take a closer look at the diagram. We can mark out one of the paths. We notice that on the left side of the path there are 2 trees, and on the right side of the path there are 3 trees. We wish for there to be an equal amount of trees, so we will not be adding any trees to the right side of the path, so answers C, D, and E are not correct. Taking a look at another path, like so, we notice that there are 2 trees on the top side, and 3 trees below the path. With this, we know that there has to be a tree added on the top side, either to region B, C, or E. Since we've already crossed out C and E, and region A is on the bottom side, which shouldn't have any trees, we can cross that out and get our answer, which will be B.
