Welcome to Math Kangaroo 2025 REMOTE!

About Math Kangaroo:
Math Kangaroo is an annual international mathematics competition. This REMOTE center will host the competition ONLINE from home and will be proctored.

Registration Information

• Who Can Register?
  Students in grades 1-12

• Registration Fees:

  • Regular registration: $28 (September 15 – December 31, 2024)
  • Late registration: $35 (January 1 – March 15, 2025)
  • Note: No cancellations or refunds are offered after registration.

• Financial Assistance:
  Families facing financial hardship can apply for support by contacting the Math Kangaroo Office at info@mathkangaroo.org with appropriate documentation.

Key Information:

• State Ranking: Participants will be ranked based on their performance ​within the center's state.
• Test Format: Students will take the test from home using a computer or laptop with an active camera.

Communication:

In the week leading up to the competition, two emails will be sent to the registrant’s email address:

1. Zoom Link: The Math Kangaroo proctor will send a Zoom link for the proctored test session.
2. Test Access: The Math Kangaroo office will send a test link, login credentials, and a password for the test.

Competition Day Details

• Date and Time: The date and time are shown in the center's Summary to the right.  
• Location: ONLINE from home 
• Gifts & Ribbons: In May, all registered remote students will receive a mathematical gift, participation ribbon, and awards (if eligible) mailed to their homes.

Support for Schools

Math Kangaroo encourages teachers and PTA parents to introduce the competition to schools.
You can ask a school administrator to host the Math Kangaroo competition by sharing the official invitation letter.

Special Accommodations

Math Kangaroo honors special accommodation requests when indicated on the registration page. Parents will be contacted in February to provide any necessary proof of an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
