Navigating Math Kangaroo is recommended for students 12-13-14 years old or in grades: 7 or 8.

We have a limited number of spots available for the class.

Five meetings, two-hour classes, 5 times a week, 10 hours total.

Class format (tentative): 55 min interactive lesson - 10 min break - 55 min interactive lesson. 

This class is an interactive class in which the Math Kangaroo instructor incorporates engagement triggers to have students participate in an activity.


Class Information:

• Students with math competition experience or who are interested in competing at a high level in Math Kangaroo are invited to join the Navigating Course.
• In this course students will gain proficiency in problem-solving strategies and techniques, developing speed, accuracy, and attention to detail through a mixture of Math Kangaroo questions and games. Students will enhance their mental math skills, calculation fluency, estimation, and ability to determine the reasonableness of answers.
• There will be no mandatory homework assigned but students are welcome to review and finish the problems solved in class.
• This class is planned to meet 5 times for 2 hours each.
